Welcome to Life Wise Counselling! I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a trauma-informed focus. I have nearly eight years of experience as a psychotherapist, with a significant focus on men’s trauma.
I started this career when my own life was in turmoil and sought out therapy to obtain professional guidance. Experiencing the direct benefits of being a client, I learned how therapy can offer freedom from the barriers of unhelpful narratives imprinted in our early years, while also supporting us to develop everlasting change. Now in my second career, I am also informed by the variety of life experiences I accumulated from architecture to east Asian studies to fine arts to the martial arts.
My therapeutic work is humanistic and psycho dynamic with a relational and integrative lens. I include theories like attachment, somatic awareness, neurosciences, functional medicine, and quantum consciousness.
This means I work wholistically, informed by new science, which includes the body, mind, and spirit in collaborative and compassionate ways.
We will endeavour to bring awareness to the behaviours or attractions that help or inhibit us in relationships with ourselves or others.
My approach is flexible, non-judgmental, attuned, and intuitive. You will feel supported in nurturing your unique strengths and gifts, highlight any corrective experiences, while aligning your life to the one that deeply resonates with you.
