Neelu Din, MA
Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)
Canadian Certified Counsellor and Psychotherapist (CCC)
My name is Neelu Din, and I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology. Over the past ten years, I have worked with children, youth, adults, couples, and families navigating emotional, relational, and life challenges. My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that healing begins within a safe and trusting relationship where clients feel seen, understood, and
accepted without judgment.
I understand that beginning therapy can feel vulnerable. For many people, reaching out for support is not easy. Because of this, I place a strong emphasis on building a genuine therapeutic connection and creating a space where clients feel emotionally safe and respected. I believe meaningful change happens when people are given the opportunity to explore their experiences openly, at their own pace, and with compassion rather than shame.
My work is attachment-based, trauma-informed, and client-centred. I support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, ADHD, relationship difficulties, parenting stress, low self-esteem, and major life transitions. I also work with clients who may feel emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Together, we work toward greater self- awareness, emotional regulation, and healthier ways of relating to oneself and others.
I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, play-based interventions, and trauma-informed care. I am certified in Advanced Trauma Treatment and trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which supports my work with trauma and nervous system healing. My approach is always tailored to the unique needs and experiences of each client.
As a therapist, my goal is not simply to help clients get through difficult moments, but to support them in developing the insight, tools, and emotional capacity to navigate future challenges with greater confidence and resilience. I believe therapy can create space not only for healing, but also for deeper understanding, stronger relationships, and lasting personal growth.

Outside of my professional work, I value quiet moments of connection and reflection.
I enjoy reading, cooking, and spending time with my family.
These experiences continue to shape my understanding of balance, relationships, and the importance of compassion in everyday life.

"Life Wise Counselling provided an outstanding experience. Not only was my counsellor phenomenal, I was able to change the way I approached counselling though the easy and calm fashion in which my counselor approached their practice. My counsellor helped me understand the true cause/root of my anxiety and worked with me to improve my well-being and symptoms."
